People cough after and in Mass and many people that are allergic to smoke are allergic to incense.

On average, it produces PM greater than 45 mg/g burned, as compared to 10 mg/g burned for the cigarettes …
Do we use the same thing as incense sticks used in Asia? I can understand that point of the article because those incense sticks do produce a lot ash. I remember having allergic reaction once to those incense sticks. But I’ve never had allergic reaction to the incense used in Mass.Generally yes.

Should have (at least) adequate ventilation when using.
Thanks for the reality check, but you could probably go around posting that exact sentence on every thread in the entire forum. What makes you say it here? When I picture Our Lord on the cross with blood all over him, it kind of becomes a non issue.
First thing that came to mind. Thanks for the reality check, but you could probably go around posting that exact sentence on every thread in the entire forum. What makes you say it here?
Argh! I’ve already seen parishes with electronic “candles”. I was sad when I saw them, something like that is unheard of in the part of the world where I come from. Granted my current Roman Catholic parish is an old parish and is worried of fire hazzards, they have removed all candles from the nave and only have them in the sanctuary around the altar. I’d rather have that than those fake candles.
Many years back, when my daughter was 5 or 6, we visited a church that had a fake window with artificial flowers outside it to the side of the sanctuary. I presume there was some structural or site reasons that they could not have a real window. My daughter asked what it was, and I explained. She was shocked: "God would not want anything fake in His House!!" :thumbsup:noRe: Is incense as bad as second hand smoke?
