Yes, for non-Caucasians, it does indeed.
I demand citations. Peer reviewed studies on the overall impact of racial mingling.
Um, no: read up (just for starters) about the problems with the skinheads in former East Germany; the e., p., r. & c. come into play, too, of course, but the race question is VERY much the foundational issue.
Where would I start reading?
Incidentally, since East German skinheads are
ideologically racist, their involvement is therefore a
cultural phenomenon, not an inherently racial one. They’re a point in my column, not yours.
This might be true wrt right at the end of WW2, but since then, it is the “Progressives” (euphemism for the Pinkos, aka Leftists) who make it totally criminal to discuss things like Shockley tried to (if they’re “closet eugenicists,” why have they sponsored and pushed the massive welfare system? Why have they been sponsoring and pushing the whole illegals tsunami for decades?)
They’re no longer
racial eugenicists, because of the total lack of science behind that notion. But the Left has become no less willing to liquidate large populations in the name of “Progress.” Most abortion clinics are in poor neighborhoods. 90% of mentally retarded kids are killed in the womb. Leftists are also responsible for our recent pushes towards euthanasia and rationed health care. The eugenic spirit has gone underground over there, but Progressivism is an ideology that fundamentally values society and culture over individual human dignity; it can’t help but be eugenic.
Political correctness is a strain of thought by which the Left unconsciously maintains their illusion that their position fundamentally makes any sense at all. P.C. is a tool to shut down critical thought from the right (by labeling it “
bigotry”),
and to close off serious inquiries into the philosophical implications of their own beliefs (by labeling it “ludicrous”). We saw this most recently in 2003, when, immediately after
Lawrence v. Texas was handed down, liberals hilariously argued that repealing anti-sodomy laws would never, ever, ever lead to a legal justification or popular support for same-sex marriage! They mocked anyone who suggested otherwise as “extremist” or simply “ludicrous”! Less than seven years later, liberalism has not only forgotten that they ever held that position, but they have gone ahead and labeled their
own previous position bigoted!
Everyone has a certain amount of political correctness, mind you, including conservatives. P.C. is a natural extension of the human instinct to agree with yourself and to use language that affirms yourself. And – frankly – some political correctness is appropriate and could otherwise be called “decorum.” However, extreme Leftist political correctness is enforced on our culture because Progressives still control most media outlets and worldwide mass culture. That’s not a far-flung conspiracy, but it
is an empirical fact.
Read the memoirs of the Delaney sisters, delightful Black centarians: one of them or their siblings (it’s been at least a decade since I read their books) was a public health nurse in the late 19th/early 20th century, and she was appalled at the total ignorance of many of her Black contemporaries wrt the most basic issues of living.
…and? I’m appalled with the state of Blacks in the United States, too. It’s hard not to be, what with the achievement gap, the pay gap, the incarceration gap, and the total destruction of Black family life outside the too-small Black middle class.
However, the fact that I am appalled does not mean that I must impute the causes of the disaster to genetic makeup. Blacks in the U.S. were destroyed by well-meaning but highly destructive economic and anti-poverty programs which created powerfully bad economic incentives. These incentives, combined with the destructive ideology of sexual liberation in the 1960’s and '70’s, as well as the contemporary advent of “affirmative action” policies, led a huge part of the African-American racial community into an economic hell of familial self-destruction and generationalized welfare. Had my own Irish race happened to have the bad luck to be poor in the 1960’s instead of the Blacks, the same thing would have happened to us.
The tragedy resulted from a potent combination of economics, culture, and ideology (mostly perpetrated by well-meaning white politicians), not race.
