I suppose this is about a sacramental, not a sacrament, but we’ll see if this gets moved.
I recently went around my house and collected all the stray palm in a bag. It’s brittle, often crumbles if it dries into an awkward shape. Sometimes it falls behind a night table, or under the bed and gets stepped on. I feel bad taking a blessed sacramental such as palm if it is not going to get treated properly. I have plenty of other blessed items in my home which I reasonably take care of. But for some reason I just feel like blessed palm gets thrown around and trashed. When the weather gets nice, I will burn the palm I have outside.
Would it be “un-Catholic” of me to not take palm home on Palm Sunday?
