America inherited the institution of slavery from Great Britain when we won the Revolutionary War. When slavery begain on this soil…it began under the leadership of England. It’s gone now…but thriving in Africa today.
 
Abortion is far worse than slavery and Christians were the slaves of the Romans and the Moslems. Slavery is evil and I am shocked it is not being stopped today wherever it exists.
 
The taking of innocent human life, not paying workers just wages…there is one more, can’t remember right now – are among those sins that cry out to heaven for justice…

To kill another human being in the name of God is blasphemy…

No it isn’t, because “who told Mohammed…?” is the same question. Who said God told him? Mohammed did. Anyone, man or woman can stand up and claim he/she has a message from God. The question then becomes, how do we know he/she is truthful, disillusion, in error, or all three? The first test is, does his/her message from God contradict prior revelation? In Mohammed’s case, it certainly does. There were no witnesses to Mohammed’s so-called revelations. Nothing he told his followers about those so-called revelations was ever verified by them. That’s why he’s a bootstrap prophet.

How Jesus got to be known as the Son of God, or if he really is or not is irrelevant to whether “Muhammad is the messenger of Allah” that he self-proclaims to be.
All of your discussions get around to your questioning Christianity. Why? It’s because Mohammed can’t stand on his own. He depends on Christianity and Judaism in order for him to be credible, then he turns around and declares OT and NT Scripture to be “corrupted”. Since Mohammed denies the very scriptures he relies on, he should be rejected based on that alone.

P.S. Asking why Jesus is believed to be the Son of God is waaaaay further off topic than my question about who was the first person in the history of the world to say Mohammed was the prophet of Allah.

Sometimes I read that we are ashamed of our society, our Western culture, and we have a President who represents some in our country by apologizing to others.

To any of Obama’s worshipers do not be ashamed. If we were a communist nation, or a Muslim nation, the world would be much worse. Take note how we take care of others and take note of what (oil rich) nations are absent. China is in the mix below and it speaks well of the Chinese even though they are considered Communist but they use Capitalism to bring their standards up and there must be something in their hearts that made them want to give. I remember the tsunami a few years ago and how one oil rich nation finally donated some money after world pressure especially since most of the countries that were hit by the tsunami were Muslim countries.

What is absent is the mention of Israel aiding the Haitians and this is shameful on the part of the guardian. But here is one of many stories of Israel coming to Haiti’s aide.

I was in Mozambique when it became Marxist, and its fall as a Portuguese colony.

I am a native Seattleite, and I think on this thread I mentioned we had more KGB here next to Washington, DC. My father worked for Boeings; my uncle had gone behind enemy lines during WWII among the Nazis and Communists. He was an encryptologist deciphering Russian and Chinese code. We are for peace and against war…but believe in Moral Defense…do you know what I mean??? We are devout Catholics defending our country out of peace and compassion – and my dad invited a member of the Communist party for friendship and my mother babysat their baby…my dad would dialogue and my mother would love. But we are very anti any organization that is based on lies and hatred and murder to get their way.

We are now in control of the NeoMarxists and economic globalists…who are only 15% of this country…

I am right now in process in setting up connections outside our country, first a model of Church so necessary for our restoration as Catholics…have to start at home first…

Because God is our strength…

Yes, I am well aware of the Arab slave trade as well as the Muslim slave trade of European white women…many of them devout Christians, their modesty violated, they put in chains, naked, put on display for all the lechers to see…

I also read the Muslims liked them because they were faithful…

Again, America is the enemy of the world…and what feeds it is passive and divisive American Christianity in face of the secular and hedonistic powers…and the disinformation…

I love my country but now is the time we have to raise up to take our country back and get to the root of our problems, so we can be a purified and better country than before.
 
As has been pointed out in this thread, while no Muslim country appears to have given financial aid to Haiti, Turkey has sent search and rescue teams and private Islamic charities in the West have taken up collections, so it is not as though there has been no help from Muslims anywhere; there’s just been no help from Islamic governments (and, really, is that so surprising?)
 
National Geographic magazine in 1973 had an article about the changes coming to Saudi Arabia…and it showed two driving across the desert with a refrigerator on the back of their pickup.

The Muslim countries have gone through so much change in the past 100 years, that it is catastrophic in itself…Middle East meets West…

It would be good for us to study their way of life before the 1920’s to see just how much has affected their entire way of life…say this neutrally.

Thanks for posting that link. There are many links out there to show that not only were Africans slaves for the Muslim Arabs but so were white Europeans. The Europeans fought back against it so it became less worthwhile for the Muslims to keep pursuing them as their slaves. The Africans did not fight back and it continues to this day. They are still pulling slaves from Africa and Christian groups actually go in and pay the price of the slave and free them. This does not ensure they will not be recaptured though. And we must all remember that the Africans themselves played a part in this because the Muslims would come after they were rounded up by their own quite often. Not always, but quite often.

to keep being mired in the past over slavery when WE FREED the slaves and stopped it is anti-productive.

If one wants to keep this at a religious level we could compare Jesus to Mohammed. Mohammed kept slaves, he said it was ok for his followers to rape them. He would butcher all the men and little boys who were showing puberty by beheading them and then take the rest of the women and children and allow them to be raped. If Mohammed wasn’t along for the pillage he REQUIRED that he be given 1/5th of the loot and slaves. This is one of the things in the Koran that never was abrogated along with the surahs allowing his sexual perversions. If it appears that I have painted Mohammed as a deviant then you are not getting it. Mohammed painted himself as the deviant because the only place that you can get anything about Mohammed are from the Muslims own texts and laws.

Jesus did not hold slaves. He did not sanction it. I will admit that I do not know what he said about it though. I am sure it was along the lines of treating others in a righteous and just manner.

Another form of slavery in Islam is the kidnapping and rape of girls. It is happening in India, Egypt, and other places. They kidnap and rape them or what they say is take them to be married to Muslim men and because the families are not Muslim the girls are not allowed to see their families anymore.
 
More American white men died to stop slavery than all the African Americans lynched or those fought in the Civil War.

I shared that on NBC’s Newsvine, and of course, I was invalidated.

This is kinda off-topic, but too good to resist.

Just about every American [and most of everyone else] has heard the expression “The Ugly American”, but did anyone ever hear of “The Ugly Frenchman”, “The Ugly German”, “The Ugly British”, “The Ugly Arab”, or “The Ugly fill in ]” ? Any American who has traveled abroad and unknowingly committed some inconsequential social faux pas [like eating with the wrong hand] has been labeled “The Ugly American”. I know a family [fellow Americans] who entered an exchange program whereby you host a foreign family on vacation in the U.S. In their case, it was a French couple who, as guests of the Americans, spent their entire 5 days criticizing the U.S. Finally, the host asked why they didn’t go back to France if they were so unhappy.

One thing that jumps out at you when you look at the list is the lack of any wealthy ME oil countries. Bottom line, IMHO, is that if every country did only half [proportionally] what it expects the U.S. to do for the planet, this would be a great world.

So today I heard Huckabee say, a Baptist, say the United States is always first to help others. Did anybody come to New Orleans from the rest of the world? It looked pretty empty of any help…which is a mystery in and of itself…

We hold on to the best of our culture…our kindness and generosity to other people…but we now need to clear out the great damage the KGB has done to our country both within and throughout the world.

(The Bolsheviks met up with the Muslim Brotherhood in the 1930’s and taught them well on disinformation.)

It is also alleged that American and Canadian Catholic seminaries were infiltrated by celibate communists…I may have known one whose first job was to close our seminary…and today we are rich in vocations because of prayer and suffering.

So now is the time to go out to our country…first in sharing the Lord, restoring the grace of prayer and penance, and self denial of comforts and materialism, to seek healing from the Lord…one step at a time…pray and work for a restored faith, a restored country, and a restored world…

God called us to be brothers and sisters…
 
America is on top of the world now due to its policies. I am sure many nationals contributed to the good programs of America. All inventions have in America, some of them very valuable, such as:
  1. The air conditioner. (1942?)
  2. The Atomic Reactor (1942)
  3. The Computer (Eniac) (1942?)
  4. The typewriter…
  5. The aieroplane.
  6. The Electric Bulb.
  7. The Telephone (Bell)
  8. The Laser light.
  9. The Space Travel.
  10. The high altitude aircraft.
  11. The very high speed aircraft.
  12. The un-manned aircraft.
  13. The Atomic Submarines.
  14. The Super Computer.
  15. The Financial system.
  16. The Democratic system.
  17. The Freedom for all faiths. (Secular system.)
  18. The massive aid to needy countries.
  19. The Development and maintenance of good systems in the States.
  20. The upholding of law, in all matters (Supermacy of the law).
Some of the above may not be agreed to by some nations. But it is all very good and nobody need disturb the Americans in their efforts. Specially, any one living in the States should repect the law of the land and be very peaceful citizen.

It was after a lot of trouble that the Americans helped the world get rid of the Nazi and Japanese war (WWII)… Again, it was quite a big trouble facing and controlling and bringing down the Communist regime. A lot more still needs to be done. But I would not rather enter the political matters.
If all christians in the States unite and come under one banner, will it work and make things better for the Americans?? Think on the spiritual lines please, how things can become better. I believe that any faith without too much materialism, without fundamentalism, without terrorism could be wisely utilised to promote good conditions in the States. The Terrorists have to be defeated in their religious field.
