Hello There All,

Well is it crude oil which makes all of us to be where we all are right now. Because without crude oil life can not be possible where we are now. So please thanks to Allah/God as many time as you can.

Any comments for this point of view. Thanks in Advance

I’ll be glad when we drain up all the crude oil and Arabia goes back to being a barren wasteland of nomadic, warring primitive tribes. I don’t care where Mohammed was born, he is a false prophet and is in Hell now and each soul lost to the darkness of Islam adds to his torment there.

Man do not say that coz if crude oil finished we will not able to do anything. How will you and i go to our work. Because nothing left for ever. Think Man Think. There is open sign for everyone from Allah/God. But we have to look from wisdom.

Umm…OK. What is the point of your thread? Are you trying to establish that, since the Arab peninsula supplies most of the world’s crude oil, Islam must be the true religion?

Why crude oil in particular? I’d say gold is pretty valuable, silver and other metals and minerals too - what about coal? natural gas? uranium? Certain spices and perfuming agents are still almost if not literally worth their weight in gold.

Every continent, and almost every country, has received plenty of blessings from God by way of these sort of natural resources. The middle east is far from unique in this regard.

As for surviving without crude oil - plenty of technology does exist for alternatives. We’ve just lacked a good reason to produce them on a mass scale.

We need to stop buying oil because Arabs are using the money to create a tyranny and they are indoctrinating terrorists.

We need to go green.

I wonder if God gave the Arabs oil because Ishmael was born illegitimate and was dealt a harsh blow by Abraham, Sarah and Isaac.

I live in the land of corn fields… and it is an area of predominantly German Catholics… therefore it must be because of the Catholic’s God that America eats and gets their corn by-products.

Hmm?

As has been mentioned, God has blessed every land with something… It is only because of our current world economy that America cares/is dependent upon foreign oil. I do not see this to be a lasting trend (perhaps beyond our lifetimes).

Just my opinion.

We are thinking, have you heard of solar powered cars? Solar powered plants etc etc?
This world will soon have solar, wind etc power supplied to most nations. Are you also going to claim that wind and solar power is supplied by the middle east? Think man think!

I don’t know how much of a case can be made either way. It seems sort of like what the Protestants used to say about manifest destiny. I guess if we believe in manifest destiny then why not believe in Arab oil as a gift from Allah? The way the Muslim gained Arabia parallels the way Protestants gained the West.

What I’d rather do is ask tomshaikh what effect the Wahhabists ban on celebrating Mohammad’s birthday has had on Islam?

I don’t think so. We cannot eat or drink crude oil. It is just energy which you can have in many alternatives.

God’s blessing would be for the desert to be teemed with lives and edible plants. Take away the crude oil from the place where your Mohammad was born and you may not have enough to eat. I cannot see that as a blessing. Perhaps, you should call for rain, man.

Read this as example of how God bless a desert -
Code:
   Is 41: 17-20
The poor and needy search for water,
   but there is none;
their tongues are parched with thirst.
   But I the LORD will answer them;
I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

I will make rivers flow on barren heights,
   and springs within the valleys.
I will turn the desert into pools of water,
and the parched ground into springs.

I will put in the desert
the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive.
I will set pines in the wasteland,
the fir and the cypress together,

so that people may see and know,
   may consider and understand,
that the hand of the LORD has done this,
that the Holy One of Israel has created it.

**Apparently nobody agrees with you.

I confess there is no God but Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and Jesus is God Incarnate risen from the dead.**

Tomshaikh,

I meant no insult. I can see how it could have been taken that way and I’m sorry for not be more careful. I really don’t know how to give an answer to what you have written. But I do wonder how far the Wahhabist’s ban on celebrating Muhammad’s birthday is carried forward in everyday life and I did not mean to imply that you are a Wahhabist.

Its okay no need to sorry. We are here for some warm and decent and wise dialogues between us. And i am sure you know more than wahhabist than me null.

Thats not my question. See my title please. Thanks
Sorry, tomshaikh. I’ll try to answer the question again.

Considering the wealth that Islamic countries can obtain from oil, it appears that they are failing. To me, Islamic countries appear to be all of the following:
  • impoverished
  • under-educated
  • sexist
  • oppressive
  • hot and dusty
  • and a haven for terrorists
Economically, Islamic countries are below standard. People from these countries want to migrate to the western world - and not the other way round.
How is it possible that Islamic countries can squander all of this wealth from oil? With this un-answered question, I would have to say that the birth place of Muhammad is not blessed.

Then you should bow too to Henry Ford, Rudolf Diesel and those engineers inventors who created the oil sipping machines. Do not put God in humanly discussion, my friend.

… Our civilization is best in the world.
Well, I’m glad that you’re proud. (But you’re probably wrong.) It’s hard to let go of our heritage. We all love our ancestors dearly. They define who we are. We are all blessed in some way or another.
