Is it a mortal sin if I'm not fully conscious?

just recently i have come to the dilema of sin validity
i had awoken in the middle of the night and for some reason i thought it was ok to commit a certain mortal sin and when i woke up the next morning i realized that i would never not even in my right mind think of such a thing(i guess it was an attempt rather Than a complete sin) but still i dont know what to think because i feel semi-guilty and semi-innocent.:confused:!HELP!:confused:
 
Hi,

One cannot sin if one does not have the full use of his or her mental capacities. One has to be fully awake to sin. Often in bed we can think we are more awake than we are because we feel awake. It is very easy to dream that one is awake. I do not believe that you committed a mortal sin.
