Is it a sacrilege if a pet drinks holy water?

I have a ferret who often choses to explore my room in a very direct manner. I have a devotional area there, with candles, linens, holy water and books that seems to be his favorite. However, he always runs directly to the Holy Water Font and drinks until I can get him away. Is it a sacrilege for him to drink of it, even though I always try to stop him immediately?

Hi,

No it is not a sin for a pet to drink holy water so long as you are not deliberately giving the water to it. After all, pets are sprinkled with holy water when they are blessed.

You are aware, that in some parts of the country it is illegal to have a ferret…? Just a thought.
