My husband and I recently got married April 2009. We got pregnant right away in May. He stopped having sex with me in August. He says it is because we haven’t taken any NFP classes yet. Plus, he has said other reasons why we couldn’t before, but the NFP class is the most recent excuse. We are signed up for a class in March but I think he will still be scared to get me pregnant again. I have become so depressed and despondent that I have began watching pornography. What should I do? Is this a sin for him to do this?

Yes, but it is also a sin for you to watch pornography in retaliation.

In marriage husbands and wives grant each other rights to their bodies. That includes a right to marital relations. This right must be exercised prudently, with due respect for the feelings and needs of each spouse, but a reasonable request for marital relations should not be denied. I can only recommend that the two of you seek marital counseling from a Catholic counselor. The Pastoral Solutions Institute offers a Catholic tele-counseling program, or it may be able to provide you with a referral to a counselor in your area.
