Is it a sin joining the military?

:shrug:Hello my name is Nissa, I was born among a catholic family, my grandfather was a franciscan 3rd order, it is imporntant to me carry on his legacy and I am joining the US Navy, being part of the military is going to take me to war eventually and i want to know if the church has any kind of disagreement of that. Thank you
