God has a plan for u, Right.
He has a plan that this man should live for 100 years, loving his wife, caring his son/daughter…
But by using drugs the man fails to to live.He dies by 40.
Do man have right to change god’s plan???
It naturally becomes a sin.
then put down the alcohol

Making wine is easy (the process, not making good wine). I’ve made a few bottles. I would do more, but I don’t make very good wine:(

It’s very had to control the variables without the right equipment, time, and knowledge to be worth it in my opinion. Some could, I can’t.

I’ve heard of people who make beer, too.
I like wine making. 👍 Harvested some blackberries this past summer and started in November. Primary fermentation is done, now I’m just letting it sit in the secondary fermentation vessel until Feb 2009. Then I’ll bottle it, and let the wine finish for the next several months until Thanksgiving.

But it’s very true what you say. I know many folks who tried growing and processing thier own tobacco and failed. Apply your self, study hard, and you’ll do fine. Talk to an expert too. I found that talking to an expert wine maker who owns a shop in Nashville helped me out a lot. The same with growing to processing tobacco; I studied at it, and asked for help from the experts. Now I find my self helping other folks.

My neighbor did, but the cops were flying real low one day in the chopper. Next thing ya know my neighbor got some free jewerly:tsktsk: :sad_bye: Yes. Never saw him again.:crying: He got a new place to stay now, he always kinda liked bars, but don’t think he likes this new one too much.😃

:rotfl: That’s funny.

Although, it’s legal to grow tobacco in all 50 states of America. He must have been growing “wacki tobaccy”-Right? I suppose neighbor hoods can have policies about growing tobacco, but such a minor infraction couldn’t land one in jail.

Oh I am sorry, I just assumed. But yes it was the wacki tobaccy all right. I guess the cops have this light or something they ride around in choppers I think at night and it lights up or something.

Well one night they light up all right the whole neighborhood. :bigyikes: Cops came from all over. Put him in the patty wagon and off he went.:sad_bye:

something for all us recreactional users here,…
This idea that recreational marijuana use is OK is wrong. It is a mind altering drug and it was not made illegal for a random reason.

alky and nicotine aren’t mind altering drugs by your reasoning then?yes marijuana laws where randomly picked.why?ask the lobby groups.

Hi fbl,
alky and nicotine aren’t mind altering drugs by your reasoning then?
Tylenol is legal, morphine requires a prescription.

As discussed: Alcohol must be used carefully or it is also immoral. Marijuana is not analogous since it’s more of an on/off effect and if it’s being used recereationally then it is meant to take effect.

its no more of an on off effect than alcohol, do you have some evidence of that?

that is not my experience and there is no chemical reason that should be so.

its no more of an on off effect than alcohol…
I respectfully disagree in regards to two drinks taken in reasonable time. Beyond that as more alcohol is consumed, one becomes more incapacitated. The effect of additional marijuana once it has taken effect is not as significant. Also, the effect is of marijuana is different than two drinks of alcohol.

evidence then, i have experienced both, often, and dont see this effect. so we need evidence

It really depends on the person, I don’t think you can make a blanket statement of “two drinks” for every person.

There is a huge difference between a 95 pound female and a 300 pound male consuming two drinks.

I don’t smoke a whole joint. One to three tokes is my norm. Then I put it out and relight it as needed. Or a bowl works just as well. I guess there are those that don’t know when to stop drinking as well, but many times they are dealing with a physical addiction to alochol, which is IMPOSSIBLE with marijuana. So you can stop doubting now.
I wonder what the following is all about then?

"Is marijuana use addictive?

Long-term marijuana use can lead to addiction for some people; that is, they use the drug compulsively even though it often interferes with family, school, work, and recreational activities. According to the 2003 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), an estimated 21.6 million Americans aged 12 or older were classified with substance dependence or abuse (9.1 percent of the total population). Of the estimated 6.9 million Americans classified with dependence on or abuse of illicit drugs, 4.2 million were dependent on or abused marijuana.57 In 2002, 15 percent of people entering drug abuse treatment programs reported that marijuana was their primary drug of abuse.58

Along with craving, withdrawal symptoms can make it hard for long-term marijuana smokers to stop using the drug.49 People trying to quit report irritability, difficulty sleeping, and anxiety.59,60 They also display increased aggression on psychological tests, peaking approximately 1 week after they last used the drug.61

In addition to its addictive liability, research indicates that early exposure to marijuana can increase the likelihood of a lifetime of subsequent drug problems. A recent study of over 300 fraternal and identical twin pairs, who differed on whether or not they used marijuana before the age of 17, found that those who had used marijuana early had elevated rates of other drug use and drug problems later on, compared with their twins, who did not use marijuana before age 17. This study re-emphasizes the importance of primary prevention by showing that early drug initiation is associated with increased risk of later drug problems, and it provides more evidence for why preventing marijuana experimentation during adolescence could have an impact on preventing addiction.62" - National Institute on Drug Abuse

You can eat it in a brownie, or create a paste. They have tried to remove the active component from cannibus in a pill form called marinol. According to studies it is not as effective, as when inhaled or eaten. But believe me, they will keep trying as long as there is potential for a profit. In the meantime, they (big pharma) will fight to keep anything illegal that competes with their own pharamaceutical products and therefore … profits.
What study, or studies, depict or show how and where big drug companies are involved in keeping pot illegal? Just for my information.

If they really are, it wouldn’t be hard because the facts would speak for themselves, just like marijuana. It belies the use of reason to consider marijuan criminal while excusing alcohol. It also belies the use of reason to say something is moral depending on something as variable as location.

You yourself said, in an earlier post, that you would not consider smoking marijuana a sin, except in a place where it is illegal.

The fact that these unjust laws are imposed on people make the law just as the catechism says, “a form of violence.”

If you don’t agree with the CCC, I guess you can continue with your position. But I have finally found the answer … The Catholic Church!
Hmmm . . . with that logic, I guess it would be just fine to shoot a couple of bullet holes through an abortion clinic after hours? What abortionists do is against the Natural Law and is intrinsically evil. Shouldn’t be a problem then, as nobody is inside, so no one can get hurt. Just trying to scare the baby killers. . .that’s all.

Insofar it falls short of right reason … it is said to be an UNJUST law.

For something to be illegal in one state, and not in the next … falls short of right reason. For something that is not immoral to be made illegal, falls short of right reason.

Insofar it falls short of right reason it is said to be an UNJUST LAW.
So, I guess there’s no such thing as “pressure groups?” I guess there aren’t lots of people out there who love to smoke pot that don’t actually have a vested interest in overturning marijuana laws? I guess it’s just big, bad elected officials and big, bad drug companies?

given my body weight it would only take two glasses of wine to lose my license and a recieve a host of other fines…and if i was consuming those two glasses of wine regually(sic)i wouldn’t feel the impairing effects of the wine…
since i am barely even a social drinker one drink does have the same level of impairment as one third of a normal joint.
You must weigh between 45 and 60 lbs. Yikes! You need to eat - not smoke or drink. Two 4.5 oz. glasses of wine are the equivalent of two shots of hard liquor. Even a very small person would not register above .02 - .04 in one hour.

On the other hand, you are correct. Any alcohol causes
“impairment”, according to the law. Just as does 1 - 3 tokes of reefer.

And I am telling you IT IS NOT!! Have you ever smoked? You do realize that the differance between one or two drinks and the whole bottle can’t be compared with a couple of puffs to the whole joint.

If you wanted to do a puff to drink ratio, then alcohol is BY FAR the more dangerous and mind altering substance.

If you are going to compare moderate use of alcohol, it shouldbe compared to moderate use of marijuana, not overindulgence.

One or two tokes does NOT ALTER OR IMPAIR ABILITY TO MAKE DECISIONS< PARENT< DRIVE< BREATHEWRITE A POEM>PRAY<COOK<GO TO CHURCH<WALK STRAIGHT ETC. ETC
None of the above is true unless you are buying 4% or less junk! If, on the other hand, you are buying 20%, hydroponically grown reefer, one to three tokes will cause an impairment equivalent to >.15 - .20. One of the “sins” directly caused by pot use is lying, as I said in an earlier post.

Thus I rest my case.
