Is it a sin to abandon a cat?

In our municipality, if you feed it, it’s your cat. You are legally responsible for it.

Desex? Is this what God wants? Does God want me to go around violating the natural law and to rip out the sex organs of other people’s cats? It isn’t my cat. I can’t find it in the Bible where it says that I should do such?

It is not a sin to have an animal spayed or neutered. I don’t know where you get that idea from!

I pray he hasn’t abandoned it. But the tone of his posts certainly suggests his mind was already made up.

It’s an animal NOT a human. Nobody is obligated to take in or provide for stray animals.

Personally, I’d capture the cat if it was bothering me and contact animal control.

Unless the cat is dangerous and actually harming someone, there’s no reason to call animal control. In fact, if they were called, they’d not only tell you that, they’d also say they don’t pick up cats.

Then there are three options:

1. Keep the Animal
2. Capture and take the animal to a shelter
3. Leave the animal alone
