Is it a sin to attend a party featuring a psychic?

I have been invited to a birthday party for my older sister who is non-practicing. Her friend hosting the party is having a psychic come to do readings. I have no intention of getting a reading. Would it be a sin to attend the party? Would I be in danger attending the party? Is there anything I could do to protect myself if I did attend the party?
