Is it a sin to baptize without a parents consent?

Hello all,

This has been on my mind for a while…

I was wondering if it’s a sin to baptize a child without the consent of the one of the parents. Long story short, two years ago the grandmother and father of my fiance’s son baptized him without my fiance’s knowledge or consent. We are both Catholic but her son was baptized in a Baptist church. Needless to say, she was extremely upset about it but really didn’t know what to do about it.
