Some years ago there was a rather vigorous thread similar to this concerning speed laws.

Not all laws are moral issues; some are simply regulatory, and in many if not most instances, regulatory laws are not moral issues.

Actually, it would be a sin NOT to buy the lemonaid, especially if the kid selling it is trying to make money to help his family who have no income due to Unemployment, due to the immorality of this whole economy and selfish materialism of our culture! I mean sheesh! What the heck? You got a buck in your pocket? You feel squeamish about breaking the lemon aid permit law?? Then instead, you go to the dollar store and buy a piece of crud which you end up throwing in the trash the next day?? Which act really is turning your face away from Gods holy law of love? Ceasars law does not apply here.

How about this… Give the kid the buck and a wink and move on. Better yet, go to the town and buy the kid the permit! That would be a very charitable act! Then you can buy lemonades from him without fear.

Think about it! is it moral to make a child pay the town for a permit to sell lemon aid??? That’s the question that should be asked.
