Is it a sin to buy or sell relics on eBay?

eBay has an entire category for Relics. Most, if genuine, are 3rd and 4th class relics – some claim to be 1st class. It is my understanding that these relics may be sold for the intrinsic/physical value only and no added value due to sacredness of the relic. Is this true?

And is it a sin to put a reliquary up for auction knowing that people will bid the price up past its intrinsic gross value? Is it a sin to buy it?
