Is it a sin to hate the devil?

Why do people insist because Jesus says love your enemies they think the devil is ok to love? They also insist God loves the devil. My understanding is God created everything good, but hates sin. Once we are in hell how can God love us were he won’t go? He is already in eternity, can he love something that is pure evil like Satan?
