Is it a sin to interrupt intercourse in this situation?

I was sexually assaulted when I was a teenager and sometimes when my husband and I are having intercourse, I experience flashbacks and feel like I am being raped all over again. When this happens, we stop having intercourse and my husband usually holds me until I calm down. My question is when we stop in the middle of having intercourse for this reason, are we committing sin? I should add that my husband and I are open to life, practice NFP etc.

Yes sounds fine…just like (though more horrible of course) if ones small child comes and knocks on the door from a very scary nightmare and needs some serious comforting…or gets seriously sick and has to be taken to the hospital…

(sometimes such can happen)

Hopefully in time etc…you will have less and less such breaks…
