I’ve walked out of a restaurant when excessive time has passed and my order hasn’t even been taken yet. But that’s not the same as consuming a meal and then deciding to protest allegedly poor service by leaving without paying; that’s stealing. What’s called for at that point - or sooner - is a chat with management.

Maybe he really meant a poor worship service. And of course, even a dreadful Mass (aesthetically speaking), provided it was not actually invalid, is not something to walk out of.Why on earth would you think so? What commandment do you supppose this breaks?
Of course, in a way I can see the thought regarding poor service (as in retail) though.
I mean, perhaps he thinks that it shows anger or disdain or disrespect and THAT is what he is worried is sinful. . .
If you’ve been waiting for 30 minutes for a rude server who has repeatedly snubbed you, disappeared, muttered names at you, etc., and you finally decide what you wanted to purchase just isn’t worth the aggravation and leave, you might be annoyed (and I hope you would call or write to the person’s supervisor and, politely, complain) but it isn’t sinful to be annoyed at a waste of time. Provided you don’t go home, make a voodoo doll of this server, stick it with pins, or over-react with personal hatred of the man, as opposed to justifiable annoyance with the BEHAVIOR, you should be fine.
