if you say god doesnt exist when your mad? is it blasphemy?

I think it probably would be at least venially sinful. Whether or not it is a serious sin would probably depend on things such as: Did you really mean it? Or was it just your anger blurting out something without really meaning it? Were there other people around to hear you, and were you jeopardizing their faith by what you said? Was it your intent to weaken their faith? Did you retract/correct your statement soon after you said it?

I would think that it’s an offense to God, but idk… possibly you could mention it in confession. When in doubt, confess is a really good rule to live by! It’s better to be absolved than to let something slide by.🙂

I agree with the above poster on mention it in confession.
Every time we take an action contrary to God’s will, it is the same as saying he doesn’t exist…
What is an example of doing something contrary to God’s will and how is that the same as saying he doesn’t exist?

Read the story of the good Samaritan, tell me which of the two that passed the person in need on the side of the road believed God existed or not… for biblical reference.

Every time you judge another person, every time you sin, every time you do not give him your all, you are denying him, every time you skimp on some favor due to your brother, or one in need, every time you do anything not in accordance with what is taught in the gospel consciencely, you are for that moment denying he is there watching, holding you accountable to.

We are all guilty of the OP’s sin…

Denying God’s will and denying He exists are two different things. It is possible to actively choose against God and His will without denying that He exists. Satan doesn’t deny that God exists.

I think saying ‘God doesn’t exist anyway’ is more an expression of the feeling that God is not working in the person’s life. So a more accurate thing to say would be ‘I feel like God has abandoned me’. The answer to this is to look around, count your blessings, and see that God hasn’t abandoned you. Also - looking ahead to this weekend’s scripture - Christ never said everything would go smoothly just because we’re following him, pretty much the opposite actually.
