Is it a sin to purposely get turned on by watching an attractive woman? Can it be lust or is lust really a desire to do sexual intercourse with her?

I am saying just watching a woman and getting turned on by her just for the sake of the fun or enjoyment of the arousal and not for the sake of a desire to do sexual intercourse with her. Is it a sin?

Eh. “Lust” and “arousal” … Those two don’t really come separate. This is like mental pornography. When you are purposely entertaining the thoughts you also feed further temptations. Mat 5:28 does apply.

If by “turned on” you mean sexually aroused, then the answer is YES.
It could be lust, or selfishness, or averice, or greed, but it is definitely not treating her as you woulsd wish to be treated…looked on as an object instead of a person and child of God.

The OP should maybe speak for himself but there could also be other ways of interpreting what he said. There are forms of arousdal other than sexual. If you go to a museum and see a well executed and conceived sculpture of a naked women, are you sexually aroused? Probably not, but you may be emotionally touched all the same.

Well I figure that the OP is pretty clear he is talking about sexual arousal but I framed my answer as I did since I did not wish to presume.
