Is it acceptable to pray for a spouse?

I am a single 39-year-old woman and never been married. My mother and I have been praying for God to send my older sister and me a spouse, a companion. We pray for the wisdom to realize our marriage partner when we meet him. My sister and I have tried numerous ways to meet available Catholic men but haven’t been successful. Is praying for a marriage partner acceptable?
