Is it advisable to read the Book of Enoch?

Dear Catholic Answers,

I have a friend on Facebook who has been asking questions about the Book of Enoch, especially in connection to the apocalypse. Is it advisable to read the Book of Enoch so long as one remembers that it is not Scripture and that the assertions made in it should be judged based on Scripture? Thanks.
