Is it appropriate to ask for healing?

Hi all!

I have a skin condition that is affecting me badly. I am wondering if it is appropriate to ask a priest for healing or a blessing.

Just for background information, I had this condition for 8 years already. I used to be on a steroid prescription but my parents and I stopped because of its side effects.

My skin gets really itchy and I have learnt to stop scratching it during the day.

But at night, I am not aware of my actions when I sleep. So, when I wake up the next day, I find my skin bleeding again…

Any help here?

We can’t give medical advice but I will share I have been experiencing similar
skin problems since I moved to a high altitude.
We had a healing service at our church two weeks ago. I am sure you could call and talk to the priest and ask him.
It sounds like you have seen a doctor.
Try not to take really hot showers.

What types of healing do you suggest?

Is it asking for prayers or asking for praying-over?
