Is it appropriate to do homework at adoration

Let’s say you’re going for a few hours and you spend an hour or so in deep adoration

I’m going to adoration now and I’d like to stay until it finishes but I also have to read for class

I believe that sort of thing is okay. You can be with Jesus and aware of his presence even as you attend to schoolwork. It is similar to two friends spending time together while engaged in separate activities.

I used to work on my “book” (I laugh now) when at Adoration. It wasn’t religious–in fact, it was a generally “clean” teen fiction. But I loved how surrounded by God I felt and how I felt loved and safe. I certinally gave God my full attention at times, but I do think He liked that I did what I did. I think it is akin to curling up in a parent’s lap and doing school.
