Is it at all possible for a priest to marry us?

I think people who met and married in 6 months didn’t get married in the Catholic Church, or got married before the diocesan bureaucrats got their mitts all over it.
 
Oh, I always found those stories quite romantic. I do know a someone that met and married in 6 months and she comes from a Catholic family but that was year and years ago. I guess in different countries the waiting period is not the same.
 
Also, when individuals are ingrained in the parish, the priest knows them well and can speed up some of the process.
