Is it disrespectful to read during Adoration?

I don’t see any problem with bringing an ipad or laptop. Of course, you wouldn’t be checking your email, but you’d be praying the LOTH, or spiritual reading or something similar.

I’ve been known to put appropriate music on an ipod and listen during adoration. Why does it matter what we do, as long as it’s respectful?

These are interesting approaches and I’m pondering them. As I mentioned in a previous post which I seem to have sent into outer space, ipads etc. say ‘secular’ to me and perhaps I’m just not used to seeing computers in church. I think I have to agree with Leonie - that we stop and listen occasionally during our reading.

What I’m seeing as all-important now after reading these posts, is possibly the desire to be there - that’s what counts.
