If you are referring merely to the process of conversion, it is not difficult at all. A Jew entering the Catholic Church would be baptized. If he is an adult at the time of his conversion, he would also receive First Communion and confirmation. This can be done by entering the RCIA program (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) at a local Catholic parish.
But perhaps you mean to refer to the personal struggles a Jewish person faces by choosing to convert, such as dealing with family and with those historical and religious issues that are stumbling blocks for him. In that case, the degree of difficulty in conversion is entirely individual to the person and his circumstances.
