Is it licit for Governors to pardon unrepentant criminals?

The citizens have granted this power to the Governor. It is a great way to demonstrate mercy and forgiveness.

If the father conspired to procure the abortion, he should suffer the punishment of a murderer. If the abortion occurred over his objection or without his knowledge, he has no guilt in the abortion.

We can go even simpler here than acts of war. What the OP suggests is conspiring to commit the mass murder through drowning of people, even though those people are engaged in a hideous act. All at the same time purporting to champion life.

Two wrongs do not a right make.

As others said, the last thing the pro-life movement needs is that sort of nonsense that makes us look like those loons in the '90s who were bombing abortion clinics and shooting doctors. If they hadn’t existed, Planned Parenthood would have found it convenient to create them.

The only weapon we should ever be taking up to defeat abortion is Padre Pio’s weapon… :pray:t3:📿 (no rosary emoji, this is the best I could do 🙂 )

Killing pirates is not murder; it is a justified act of war against the enemies of mankind.

And just who died and made you the Navy? What Senate voted you emergency powers to police the seas? What sovereign issued you a letter of marque and reprisal? What United Nations resolution empowers you to undertake this action?

I can tell you, were you, in some insane flight of fancy, to actually sink that ship, it wouldn’t be seen as a legitimate act of war – especially if that ship was unarmed. It would be cold-blooded murder and you would be just as guilty as they are.

Please drop this line of thinking. I’m just as enraged at abortion as you are, but these power fantasies do nothing but make us look like murderous hypocrites in the face of our opposition.
