Is it logical to have faith?

Yes, but faith is also spiritual.

I was born into a Christian family who taught me that there was a God who created all things, and most of all He created you and me to fellowship with. When I was very young I was in my back yard, looking at nature around me i.e., trees, grass, bees, birds, clouds, etc.) and it occurred to me that nature had a design; today we call it an ecosystem. Everything had a purpose, and everything was dependent on something else. I figured that there had to be a God to have designed this, and that He had to be the most important person in my life, having created everything, and that I needed to get to know Him. Growing up I sought God by being active in the church, and reading the bible when I had an opportunity. When I was 21, in engineering school, I was meditating one day, and it occurred to me that I had not read the entire bible, and how could I consider myself educated if I had not read the entire bible. All through grammar school, high school, and now in college, it was instilled upon us that we needed to be well balanced, and in part that meant that we needed to read I read a wide variety of good literature. Good literature had good historical content, imparted wisdom, or impacted society. I could not think of a book that fulfilled these requirements better than the bible. The first week I tried reading he bible like a text book; 20-30 pages a day, but could not find the time, so I revised my goal to read 1 page a day at night, and if I was really busy, 1/2 page - the intent was to read the bible daily. Doing this, I not only read the word, but meditated on it while I was going to sleep. 1 1/2 years later I was in 2 Corinthians and I was Born Again. This is a spiritual experience. It was as if a curtain, that had separated me from God, had been torn in two, and I now had access to God. For the first time in my life I had a personal relationship with the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. My prayers were answered, and began to see miracles in my life. The Holy Spirit reminded me of the scripture verse of Jesus, Who said, "My words are Spirit, and they are life (spiritual life).

As I began to walk in faith, not by sight, the Holy Spirit pointed out Romans 10:17 to me, “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (KJV) He instructed me that hearing is not necessarily audio, but could be any form of communication; an impression, an idea, dream, vision, etc. Communication with the Holy Spirit is His Spirit to my spirit. One of the best ways I found to train myself to hear God was through “contemplative prayer.” You may Google this, but it is very simple, just read the scripture until something stands out (this is the Holy Spirit), read the scripture a 2nd time to get it in it’s proper context, then read just the part that stood out. Then clear the mind, and listen to the Holy Spirit’s instruction - it is very exciting!

Today I am CEO of a very successful international corporation, and I owe it all to walking by faith and not by sight - not doing what I want, what what the Holy Spirit instructs me to do; it is miraculous! This is not theory; it has worded for me, which is why I stated it. Thank God for His mercy and grace, as I am not worthy; to God and only God be the glory and honor!

Thanks for posting this. It could help many - if read carefully. But we already hear the ifs, ands, or buts.
In faith, which depends our life in eternity, we ought to avoid buts and ifs, since the contents of belief itself are absolute, eternal, never changing, been before all times and lasting forever and ever, confirmed by God the Father and re-enacted by Jesus Christ. So, there is neither any but nor if. Still; - discussing questions of belief, rises ifs and buts in masses, for a majority refuses to the the real reality - which is God.

I told an acquaintance, that I discuss questions of belief in diverse forums like “MailCircle” - “CAF” and several others. His answer was: “Oh, then I’m right that belief is a matter of 1000 questions and it’s questionable altogether”.
That’s ridiculous rubbish and an annoying thought. Life itself too is a “matter of 1000 questions” and if you like “questionable altogether”, but still ever so real. Not to believe in belief is much the same as not to believe in our life. (But then many say “life’s not real”, though this a different branch of psychology 😉

Yours
Bruno
