Along these lines, can you imagine how many more than two fish would’ve been needed to feed the 5,000 if the fish were Swedish?

I love jelly beans! Tell me where to buy a four pound jar!

I presume that this person thinks it is evidence of gluttony. When I have jelly beans, I eat only a few every several days. Customarily splurging on junk food is poor nutrition and a threat to your own health, a risk I avoid even if I have a bag of jelly beans.

Depends

Are you going to finish it off in one sitting or are you finishing them off over time?

Sin. Just thinking about a 4-pound jar of jelly beans gives me a headache.

When I was a child I seriously ODd on gummy bears. Not 4lbs of course.

That much sugar and that much gummy clogging up your system is very bad mmkay…

It’s fine to buy in bulk, it just considered gluttony if you eat in bulk.

I would say it is an automatic mortal sin. It doesn’t even require that you have full knowledge and consent. Any purchaser of 4 lbs of jelly beans is also subject to Latae sententiae excommunication, and lifting that sentence is not only reserved to the Holy See, but to the late Pope Stephen VI, who was Pope in the year 897 and had the corpse of a former Pope exhumed and put on trial in one of the weirdest events in the history of the Catholic Church.

The Holy Office of the Roman Inquisition, Jelly Beans Related Derelicts Section… the queue is truly a nightmare. As sole judge on this particular tribunal, Pope Stephen VI takes his sweet time…

Jelly beans stick in your teeth.

So make sure you floss

This is not to say I couldn’t do it personally, but I’d put that level of consumption well past gluttony and into the “somebody please take these away from me” neighborhood.
It sounds *penitential" to me 😱🤔🤣

I like candy but that much at once is kind of nauseating (in the literal sense).

Previous post here: “Pope Stephen VI, who was Pope in the year 897 and had the corpse of a former Pope exhumed and put on trial.”

Imagining this scene makes me lose my appetite.
I will have to put off eating candy for at least an hour or so.
