Is it no longer appropriate to genuflect to bishops?

:confused: But they aren’t God. If Jesus walked through my door right now. Well, in all honesty I would probably stand there frozen. If my bishop walked through the door I would shake his hand.

I am referring to the tendency of Americans to reject legitimate hierarchy in the name of radical equality, because we think of the Church the same way we think of our government. Bishops ARE special; they are not just regular guys, and the virtue of religion requires that clergy be treated with reverence.
