Is it Ok to attend Saturday evening mass instead of Sunday mass?

I like Saturday night and Sunday night masses much better than morning masses.

Saturday evening is nice because I can do things in the morning then go to Mass and have a quiet evening. Sunday evening is nice beucase it’s a great way to end the weekend and start the week.

Except that the church does NOT teach that a day starts with sundown on the previous evening. The church teaches, according to Canon 1248, that the mass in the evening of the PREVIOUS day counts as fulfillment of obligation to attend mass. The church does not in any way teach that sundown to sundown is a “day” in liturgical or secular terms.

That’s not the case. The Church does indeed teach that the day (if a Sunday or other Solemnity) begins on the evening before according to the secular calendar.
