Yes, of course. They will either reinforce your faith in Catholicism, or open your sensibilities to another path. It is a way to be honest in your faith. A refusal to listen to other points of view is essential weakness and insecurity in your views, and a potential denial of truth.
“Be careful little eyes what you see.
Be careful little ears what you hear.”

There is nothing wrong with knowing that one’s faith is weak. There is NOTHING wrong with choosing to grow in your knowledge within your own denomination before moving out and hearing what others have to say.

Would you encourage someone who is converting to your faith to listen to Catholic apologists? Instead of studying the Methodist faith?

Ever since I decided to become a Christian I found myself led to Christ by listening to numerous men and women of Faith. I have read many books by non Catholics. Some of my favorites are Chuck Swindoll and Alistair Begg. Both have said some non Catholic things in there sermons although very very often. My wife who is catholic has read and watched a ton of Joyce Meyers things. She loves her. Let me make one thing clear non of this has ever once changed my opinion of the Church. I left my Non Denominational church over a year ago because I felt that this is where I am called to be, saying that I still love listening to some non catholics.
I personally will listen to ANYONE who wants to talk about God. The problem I have with Joyce is she takes her opinion and interprets the bible. That in itself goes against the word of God.

But you can learn many things about God from everyone. Remember what Jesus said those who are not against us are with us.

But I would not have a hard time hearing anyone talk about God and the miracles he did in their lives, but I would have a hard time having non-catholics interpretating scripture.

Because it all different from all of them and there is only one truth.

It comes from the CC. The CHURCH is the pilar of all truth. Not non-catholics:D

Not only that, but Joyce has heretical teachings. She teaches that Jesus was torturted in Hell by the Devil and the demons, after He died on the cross. No where in the Bible and yet she has explicitly said God revealed that to her. Precisely why she is dangerous.
