Is it ok to read a horoscope if you don't take it seriously?

I thought one time of reading them just to see what they are like. But I decided not to because I could start paying attention to what it said. This seemed a natural step–is what it says true? Then I would have begun starting an occult practice.
Beginning to read horoscopes could be a death trap.
 
Horoscopes, fortune cookies, etc. have little to do with reality. They are just fun things to look at.
