Is it ok to wear holy medals as earrings?

I received a gift of holy medals that had been made into earrings… one pair of St. Agnes and one pair of Padre Pio… The Padre Pio medals also have reliquary on the back.

I received them for Christmas from a relative (who is not Catholic, knows I am, and loves to give me “Catholic stuff” LOL) but I hadn’t worn them until today. For some reason it just seemed strange to wear holy medals as earrings. I don’t have any problem wearing a medal as a necklace.

It was just one of those things that make me go hmmmmmmmmmmm…
