Is it okay to attend a Mass that has connections with Una Voce?

Fix, you are reaaaaaaaalllllllllllyyyyyyy stretching now. Are you really equating things posted on the CA forums by people with no relation to CA, who are in no way trying to represent CA and Una Voce’s Books and Resources and Links list?!!! :rotfl:
I went to the links section. I am not familiar with each organization. Can you point out the links that are dissenting?

TAN has some Vatican II bashing books (and I don’t mean they bash "the spirit of VII-they bash VII) and Latin Mass magazine has encouraged its readers to support the SSPX in some of their articles.

Latin Mass magazine, in my opinion, tends to “ride the fence”. They have articles by numerous people who are in communion with the Pope, but then they give space to someone like Dr Thomas Droleskey.

This was the artical that was my last straw with them and that was way back. My friends who have seen it as of late say it’s just more of the same.

It was nice of him to make the clarification that they acted without the bishops approval. To bad he didn’t note that we shouldn’t be supporting them!
From Latin Mass Magazine Volume 10, No. 3, pages 20-21
While remaining fully in union with the Roman Pontiff, and accepting our non-traditionalist brethren as our fellow Catholics, we must give our full and exclusive support to those priestly societies that are dedicated exclusively to the celebration of the Mass and sacraments according to the books that were in use before the Second Vatican Council and that embody the traditions we have received from the fathers of old-traditions that formed the basis of the spirituality of countless saints of the Roman Rite. In the United States there are three such societies, that of St. Pius X which operates without the approval of the bishops, and the Fraternity of St. Peter and the Institute of Christ the King which operate only with episcopal approval.
It seems like the author missed Ecclesia Dei.

c) In the present circumstances I wish especially to make an appeal both solemn and heartfelt, paternal and fraternal, to all those who until now have been linked in various ways to the movement of Archbishop Lefebvre, that they may fulfil the grave duty of remaining united to the Vicar of Christ in the unity of the Catholic Church, and of ceasing their support in any way for that movement.

How can people who are still in communion with the Pope continue to write for The Latin Mass magazine?

It’s so sad. They just don’t get it.

I know a person who writes for Latin Mass Magazine and that person says that they know there are some problems but that they choose to look at the articles that are faithful to the Magisterium. Basically the author just says there is some good in it. I would agree to the author’s premise that there is some good but I think much of it does damage. Basically, in my opinion there’s no such thing as a little evil.

I have some (name removed by moderator)ut…a mass that is favored by Una Voce is more edifying to God than a mass with clowns, chocolate chip cookies, etc…I sure do love the Latin Mass.

Does anybody have any more (name removed by moderator)ut?

Sorry to rehash an old thread but those reading should know this is Slanderous and sinful to say that Una Voce is heterodox or schismatic in anyway. The Holy Father has commended Una Voce for it’s work, both H.H. Pope John Paul II(R.I.P.) and H.H. Pope Benedict XVI. Though there may be some links on the website that are questionable, the organization is 100% orthodox. There is no such thing as a Mass having connections with Una Voce. Una Voce promotes the Mass as codified by Pope St. Pius V and the books and Sacraments in force in 1962 according to the indult Ecclesia Dei Adfilcta. Also promoted is an increased use of the Latin language(the language of the Church), Gregorian Chant, Sacred Polyphony and traditional Catholic culture. There is nothing at all heterodox about the books of 1962 or traditional Catholic culture. Tan books does have a few books that are questionable, but they also publish some really good books. The clash I see in this thread, though quited down a long time ago, is troubling. To think that what once was good and Holy is now somehow bad and to be done away with, this is wrong. The Tridentine rite of Mass as it has come to be called must return before the abuses of today can be corrected. The organic development of the liturgy must be allowed to continue if the Novus Ordo Missae of H.H. Pope Paul VI is to be perfected.
