Is it okay to hand out blessed Rosaries to people who want to wear them as necklaces

Our evangelization team hands out Rosaries which have been blessed by a priest to people who want to wear them as necklaces. Is this okay?
 
Dear friend,

The purpose of the rosary is prayer; not fashion. If rosaries are to be given away, then a booklet on how to pray the rosary ought to accompany them and the recipients ought to be encouraged to use them for prayer. Our Lady has asked for such prayer over and over again at Lourdes, Fatima and elsewhere.
