Is it okay to have a prenuptial agreement?

Hi Father,

Is it OK doing Prenuptial Agreement to strength up our Catholic marriage?

This agreement that both me and my spouse agree to do:

If any parties file a divorce paper, that person will loose all their assets. Both parties must resolve conflict together regardless whatever happen.

Hi,

The Church does not allow Catholics to have a pre-nuptial agreement. Such a maneuver has a weakening effect rather than a strengthening one. It puts concern for one’s personal property over the willingness to give oneself completely to the other without concern for self. This is the kind of love-commitment that the Sacrament of Matrimony requires.
