I am not scared of marriage but I’m really scared of divorce. Today it seems that marriage has become a 4-5 year trial period favoring women. What I mean by that is that I know too many men whose wives have caused the break up of their families through adultery but have come out smelling like a rose awarded the houses, the children, child support payments of 20% for the first child and 5% more for each other plus insurance paid by the father, the vehicles and sometimes even alimony. Most men are left broke and in the streets!
Lawyers threaten to take other sources of income if the man wants to fight the home or property leaving the only option as to concede. All this and it was the woman who committed adultery and broke up the family!
My question is…Is it a sin to stay single and not want to procreate and what about sexual desires for single people? Do we have to become priests or nuns because it seems that it’s an either or situation and nothing is in relation to singles. Get married or become a priest? I don’t want to be a priest either. Is celibacy required for single people who don’t ever want to get married?
