Is it okay to perform a gay marriage?

There are plenty of Catholics, both lay and clergy, that put their person feelings above the consistent teachings of the Church. Given we are talking about California, I am sure that there are huge percentages of Catholics that have no problem flipping the bird at the Church in order to “do what is right” by their gay friends and coworkers. Most Catholics seem to just see the Church as an advisory board and blithely ignore Her whenever they feel like.:mad:

That is what I doubted.
 
Since when can Catholic laity perform civil weddings? Enlighten me, please. Does the Pope know about this? hmm.
The Philippines is 85% Catholic. Who do you think performs civil weddings. Obviously a high percentage of judges, mayors etc are Catholic and they are the ones who perform civil marriages.
