Is it okay to study during Adoration?

Hi,

I am a student at university and often find it difficult to fit anything into my schedule other than studying. I really want to go to adoration and spend time with Jesus. Is it okay to study in adoration? Not to ignore Him being there, but to actually get to spend time with him?

Dear friend,

He is with you wherever you are. Certainly, He is with you when you study at home or at school. In Church we have deliberately chosen to be with Him. When the Blessed Sacrament is exposed, we go before Him to deliberately expose ourselves to Him. It makes no sense to go there and then give our attention to something else. Your grades will never suffer from the time you give to Him. He is never out-done in generosity. Let go of control and give it to Him.
