In considering the potential presidential candidates, I am uneasy about the possibility of voting for a Mormon because I am uneasy about Mormon religious beliefs. Is it okay to vote for a Mormon?
I assume you are concerned about those Mormon beliefs that are at odds with Christianity and with right reason. Insofar as the problematic beliefs of a Mormon do not impact a Mormon’s performance of his public duties, they are not a matter for public concern. Only if the performance of public duties would be adversely impacted should there be a question of whether or not to vote for someone who holds those beliefs.
