Basically a couple hours ago I prayed. I’ve been going through some tough times and I pray for a change. I prayed for guidance to avoid temptation to do the evil things I’ve been doing, also prayed to be happy if I see people happy, and that in order for that to happen, God would use me as a tool to show His love to others.
I was thinking that if I wore a Rosary to school, that it would help me live the way God would want me to live. So I think I would be wearing a rosary for a positive purpose.

As a private devotion under your shirt, I think that’s a commendable idea. But have you considered the Brown Scapular? It seems to be more suited to be worn for just that purpose.
Buy one, call your rectory, and ask if the priest has a moment to “invest” you with one. Yu only need to go through the 45 second ritual once, and you’re enrolled for life!

I do that. I use it as a Catholic evangelization tool. You might have an opportunity to give it to someone who needs it and explain how it is used. When I see it on other cars it builds up my faith knowing that others are Catholic as well and it’s always a good conversation starter when someone asks “Why do you do that?”. When I grew up my parents had the same practice. It reminds me to pray while I am traveling as well. My friend always commented that she felt safe in my parents car when we gave her a ride.
BTW I’d much rather see a rosary than handcuffs on the rear view mirror.

Hmm. Just today I was reading de Montfort’s little book on the Rosary, and he frequently spoke of wearing the Rosary, including around the neck. I was going to ask on these forums, given modern styles of clothing, where would be the appropriate place to wear a Rosary. Apparently no place, to avoid offending someone (non-Catholics, for flaunting one of Catholicism’s most famous symbols, and Catholics, who might think you’re profaning one of Catholicism’s most famous symbols).

Does a Rosary have to blessed first to be considered a sacremental? I got a Rosary tonight in RCIA, as our topic tonight was Mary and the Saints (how fitting for all saints day). Someone in the parish hand made them for those of us in RCIA. I am glad she did that.

I have a Rosary on my mirror in my car. I also have a holy card of Our Lady of Grace, and St. Christopher. Here in the metro-Detroit area a lot of people who are Catholic have a Rosary on their mirrors. It helps to remember Mary and God through out my day, and to give him thanks for what he did for me!!
