IS it possible for all beliefs to reside in peace?

And think of it this way…

Those who are of different faiths, albeit JW’s, mormons, buddists, muslims, etc… they are ALL seeking GOD. And they think they are on the right path. They may not be but if we tell them they are headed for a cliff to Hell it is like we are just pushing them over the edge. BUT if we lead them to the right path enlightened by God Himself they are much more likely to go.

That is not to say that some people need that harsh push to get them thinking but most of the time it just pushes them to get defensive and thus stop listening. And THAT my friend is how Holy Wars get started…

We need to STOP the holier than thou attitude before we are responsible for the deaths, both physical and spiritual, of those who NEED God as much as we do!

It seems to me that the worst violence happens when religious ideas are twisted around by politicians to justify hatred against another group of people, in order to grab their land or their resources, or for some other political reason.
Left to themselves, religious people are more likely to try to convert each other, rather than try to hurt each other.
Hi
I agree with you.
Thanks

Not at the current moment it would seem. There would have to be the laying down of hostilities and then religious leaders be open to dialogue. While most of the earths religions or beliefs do co exist, there are some who don’t want peace, or don’t want to co-exist peacefully.

Man has been fighting in the name of religion for thousands of years. Why wont it stop? Why? because the devil loves discord and he loves to have man at each others throats.

The answer is in James 4

Is it possible for us to have some sort of peace? I suppose, but that means that the fighting and arguing must stop, and people must sit down and have open dialogue.

but honestly, my opinion is, it wont stop until Christ returns. then it is guarenteed to stop isn’t it? Indeed.

People have evil hearts - so they do evil things. If they don’t hate each other over religious issues, they will hate because of political differences., or colour, or race, or class, or something.

That’s one reason for not favouring space exploration - why do other worlds have to be filled with our sin ? We’re already littering the Moon 😦 which is a lamentable achievement

Gosh, I continue to pray for Unity and I continue to pray for peace, but sometimes you get frustrated that there is soo much hostiliy amongst each other, (not to boost, but just talking about my life experiences as a Catholic) GOD has blessed me with patience and understanding, I am the kind of person who tolerates the anticatholocism disscussions, I usually just smile instead of engagging into a debate with those protestants who discuss anticatholocism topics, even to the point where they discuss how Catholics are NOT christian. I figured the Catholic Church does not need to be defended, the Truth defends it’self. But what I find funny and frustrating is that the very same christians who preach about peace and how men needs to let go of their pride and just worship Christ, are the same people who have no problem debating, arguing, give their over exagerating opinions, when the opportunity comes.

When itt comes to Peace, lately I personally believe there is no Church that gives a good example of Peace like the Catholic Church. I hardly come across catholics discussing the evils of protestants (besides online but that’s what the internet is for) nor have I ever heard the Catholic Church ever speak negativly towards another church
