Is it possible for their to be a creature that has knowledge of God and morality...but not have a rational soul or free will?

An example (very hypothetical) would be an animal who acts purely on instinct…but has miracuously been given knowledge and revelation to God and his teachings…but still doesn’t have the ability to make conscious moral decisions.

I’m guessing the answer to the question would be "No’…since I think that would be kind of cruel on God’s part to create a creature that knows about heaven and eternal joy but can never hope for it since they don’t have the will to choose him or not.

But I just want to make sure…whats the answer to this question?
 
I don’t believe it’s possible. Animals would need to have a living spirit in order to understand God and morality. That’s what separates man from animals. That’s why it’s impossible for humans and animals to have offspring together, no matter how hard science may try to make it happen. If an animal could understand that, he wouldn’t be an animal. 😉
 
No. It is a rational soul that makes it possible to know such things. Without a rational soul, we would only have sense knowledge of our environment. We would know no more than animals know. If such a creature were miraculously given such knowledge, he must be given rational powers at the same time to be able to possess such knowledge.
I wonder if you are a student and this has come up in your school.

Nothing came up a school. Every once I question what exact proof I have of knowing I’m a human being and not some human-look alike species created not by God without a rational soul.

It’s weird, but that thought worries me sometime
