Malleus 01:
And if administerd by a deacon- he too is allowed to distribute through the Sacrament of the Minor Orders.
Remember, Deacons are a Major Order. SubDeacons are the highest minor order. 👍

I thought it went like this.

Porter , Lector , Exorcist , Acolyte

The Major Orders are Sub Deacon , Deacon , Priest

And then the Bishop is the fullness of the Priesthood.

I could be wrong , but I thought Sub Deacon was the lowest major order.

Hey,
By NO means has the church lost its reverence. In many parishes yes unfortunately this is true. I know many priests who still hold their fingers together though they still celebrate the Novus Ordo mass. I myself wear a veil and kneel at communion. Currently many priests and laity do not show proper reverence because of ignorance but we must be a witness with our reverence and love of the Eucharist. That is why we most go to Adoration to atone for the sins of the world and beg the Lord for a return in reverence. Here is a good video related to reverence:youtube.com/watch?v=K9NWnLj-6l8, and youtube.com/watch?v=EcZhjmYn1K8 There are many priests who still hold their fingers together and millions of Catholics who attempt to show the Lord much reverence. I do not know if holding your fingers together is mandated by the Novus Ordo. But I will post later after I talk to a religious and ask.
God bless,
A lover of the Eucharist and future bride of Christ
