Is it possible to baptize and give the Sacrament of Anointing of the sick to a baby in utero?

My sister has a pregnancy with a high chance of miscarriage. It would be possible to baptize him/her or give the anointing of the sick to bebe even in his belly.

Baptism requires the pouring of water over the recipient. That cannot be done until the child is born.

Baptism is the gateway sacrament, no other sacrament can be received until after baptism.

St Thomas Aquinus writes
Augustine says: “No one can be born a second time unless he be born first.” But Baptism is a spiritual regeneration. Therefore no one should be baptized before he is born from the womb.

I asked our pastor if my daughter could receive Annointing of the Sick at age 4. He said that the Sacrament is meant for those age 7 or above. That is generally considered to be the age of reason so I guess the logic is that a child that young would not have committed a sin so serious that it would separate him or her from God. The mother may be able to receive this Sacrament and could certainly ask for a special blessing from her priest.

No, one cannot receive sacraments before being born. There is a blessing “ante-partum” (before birth) for mother and child. This blessing has been in the Roman Ritual for decades and every priest should be familiar with it.
