Hi, I just wanted to know if its possible in the Eastern Church to have a Baptism Renewal service basically where you reinstate your baptism promises and it includes most of the litergy of a regular baptism. You see my family and friends were not able to be with me for my real baptism so I thought a baptism renewal service would be the next best thing. Can it be done??

I have never heard of such a thing as a Baptismal renewal service. The sacrament of Baptism can be received only once/

Just like a wedding anniversary service your not getting married again just renewing your vows! Can this be done?

This is done every time you cross yourself with holy water or are sprinkled with it.

Part of the Easter liturgy in the Latin Rite is renewal of Baptismal promises of the entire congregation. It can be done other times as well.

As has been mentioned, making the Sign of the Cross on ourselves with holy water as we enter Church is a renewal of our Baptism. This may be done at home as well anytime we wish. Take some holy water home with you.
