He cannot be transferred to another parish because the church is not even a parish church, it’s a shrine

Like what downsides? Could name me some examples please?
Well, I did and Irishmom2 reiterated it. But in answer to your question I offer you this. People who put all their faith and belief in one person, can be devastated if that person fails you. Like falling in love and then being jilted by your beloved. Doing so is taking our a mortgage on important aspects of your life; making one’s happiness or fulfillment dependent, not on their own actions and faith, but on anothers.
Hope this satisfies your question.

There is nothing wrong with being friends with priests, they are definitely allowed to have civilian friends and acquaintances.

But its sort of improper to follow them around.

Is it wrong to go to a particular priest for Mass and confession? Why would you think that it might be wrong?

Cos of in persona Christi?

But I prefer a certain priest who knows me well and who can give me individualised advice.

Is this Priest your godfather, and the same Godfather your parents now don’t want you to associate with

My advice, a sit down meeting with you, your parents and a priest. There are some dynamics that may be cultural and may be simply dysfunctional. You all need an objective 3rd party.

It is fine to go to another parish to visit or to make confession.
