Hi
I would appreciate an answer to this question as it has been bugging me for a while. Many products and services out there are ‘suspect’ to put it mildly. I have heard that Pepsi Co used aborted featal cells in product development, that Coca Cola used a bottle measurement of exactly 666 ml before (which has to be highly suspect), and also that many well known logos contain occult symbolism which is often undetected by the untrained eye. Without becoming hysterical about the issue, how should this be approached? Would it be sinful, for example, to use services such as Google (many claim that the Chrome logo contains three sixes) who support anti-Christian causes such as gay marriage?
I have approached a priest about this before and he said that there are undoubtedly very misguided people in such corporations. Although we have not spoken about the other issues I mentioned, in the case of Google he said that (paraphrasing) it is only a tool and can be used for good or evil. Another priests answer was slightly less clear. Therefore I am in a bit of a pickle. Any insight would be much appreciated.
